A cold walk

I left the house this morning at 7:15 and I thought it was pretty cold at 10 degrees.  We just got about 3 inches of snow yesterday but this morning there was some ice around so I wore my ice grippers over my hiking boots.  I first walked to the post office to mail off a Netflix and a card.  It seemed colder than 10 and my feet were starting to get cold and my legs felt cold too.

I had walked up the main road and around both cemeteries and was headed to the ball park loop when I saw Ken drive up in the car.  He asked me didn't I think it was too cold to be out walking and wasn't I cold.  I told him yes I was a bit cold and that is when he told me it wasn't 10 degrees, but 1 degree BELOW zero.  I was near home so told him I'd walk straight home.  It was nice getting home to a nice warm house.  I stood by the pellet stove for a bit. : )

Walk was cut a bit short today at 2.9 miles.

Every year since we've been married Ken paints a red Christmas ball with an event or happening from the year.  Here's an old picture of some of them. 

This years ball will remind us how warm it was this year.

We now have 43 balls!

We spend another Tuesday afternoon at the bowling lanes. : )  There were 7 of us today.
My scores this time were: 136, 148, and 110.

Stopped on the way home for a new supply of ice cream which was on sale again.
Figured I'd get this posted and then go have some supper.  A simple supper tonight of baked potatoes and a salad.
