The Milwaukee Bucks get a huge 110-103 win over the Phoenix Suns in Game 4 of the NBA Finals inside the Fiserv Forum. That was a religious experience.
The years fell off my life with every passing minute in this game tonight.
Devin Booker became the first player in NBA Finals history with 40+ points and 8 fouls.
One of the all-time no-calls on Booker's sixth foul. Legendary stuff. He actually fouled him twice on the play!
The Suns and specifically Booker should be banned from complaining to the officials for life after that non-call when Booker form tackled Jrue Holiday.
It really does feel like it's Milwaukee vs. Everybody in these Finals and that's cool with me.
To me, the Giannis Antetokounmpo block with 3:17 left and Milwaukee trailing 95-94 was the play of the game and put the Bucks in position to win this game.
It's honestly still difficult to comprehend what Giannis did on that block. The recovery was insane and then to have the strength to toss it is just unreal.
I'll remember that Giannis block on the Ayton lob for the rest of my days. Just insanity.
Khris Middleton on the Giannis block: "It was one of those 'oh, shit' moments."
Budenholzer said on the block: "That's an NBA Finals special moment."
I get that Wisconsin sports fans have been spoiled by some superstar athletes, but I hope they don't take for granted what an incredible player and ambassador for the franchise Giannis has been.
Side note: If you had some weird affinity for Jae Crowder because he went to Marquette, that's gone now right?!
Crowder should go work for the WWE with all the dramatic flopping.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 26 points on 11-of-19 from the field.
Khris Middleton stepped up in a huge way tonight after having a slow start to the game, he finished with 40 points on 15-of-33 from the field and 3-of-8 from 3-point range.
Jrue Holiday had a rough shooting night (13 points on 4-for-20), but did have seven assists and had some big (HUGE) plays on defense.
The Bucks defense stepped up big time down the stretch.
I will say, I was livid at Mike Budenholzer on not challenging the fifth foul call on PJ Tucker. It's was a ridiculous call and there was only six minutes remaining. If you're not going to challenge a call in crunch time, when are you planning to use the challenge?!
It was a huge swing at the time because PJ had to come out of the game with the fifth foul AND Crowder made all three free throws.
Also, I did laugh. Giannis Antetokounmpo said he had to "tinkle" when asked about why he exited the game early in the first quarter.
Up Next:
The series is tied 2-2, which means "Bucks In Six" is still alive baby!!
Game 5 will be on Saturday, July 17th in Phoenix. Tipoff is set for 8:00 PM (Central Time) and will be nationally televised on ABC.
